Mix with Mobile Cloud Computing Experts in Singapore Mid-July Invite from DIDX
Before you read on, consider participating now in the Mobile Cloud Computing Asia July 14-15, 2010 scheduled in Singapore and then read on!
The diversification of today’s mobile devices make them a crucial part of life around the globe. Just read Tweets and blog posts, for example, to see the number of them that focus on them. With these devices becoming capable of performing more complex but extremely practical tasks, there is no reason for you to be left behind at home or at work. Take care of home and work no matter where you are. This is the concept of Cloud Computing, which promises to help these devices reach a new plateau of web access.
Cloud Computing, is undeniably one of the most widely discussed topic among the internet community and because of its prevalence and top of the line benefits, the concept would naturally mesh with mobile devices to enable on-the-go functionalities like we have never witnessed before. This revolution in the mobile space will be in full swing in the following years.
Understanding the true potential of Mobile Cloud Computing and Cloud-based Applications and Services for Mobile would be our primary focus at the event, Mobile Cloud Computing Asia July 14-15, 2010 in Singapore, a major technology, tourism, and business hub of the world. In this event, we will discover how the players of the ecosystem will look at opportunities and overcome challenges for Mobile Cloud Computing. We will learn from expert view points and opinions on how we can strategize and draw blue prints of what Mobile Cloud Computing should be. And we will examine the business models that will make your Mobile Cloud Computing business reach its real and full potential.
Key Themes and Topics:

- Evaluating the key factors to mobile application growth
- Examining how will Mobile Cloud challenge the dynamic landscape of the Telecommunications Industry

Screenr to Twitter Tips from DIDX Partner The SIP School
The inventor of DIDXchange Rehan Ahmed (also CEO of Super Technologies, Inc., the company that provides the service of DIDXchange) shared this Twitter application, http://screenr.com. We shared it on our VP Suzanne Bowen's Facebook page.
From there Graham Francis of The SIP School (DIDX partner) gave some great tips, so we want to pass them on to you.
"I use this all the time... Really quick and simple to use - when doing the screen casts, use the pause button as it lets you catch your breath. Also, if you make a mistake and stop the recording, go to the Screenr site and be careful not to Tweet it, delete it first! You can also decide not to tweet but save as an MP4 file... I'm a big fan."
BTW, did you know that your marketing team of your company can learn what SIP (session initiation protocol) means, how it can benefit your customers, and most of all the ROI, customer retention, and business development it promotes? You have very technical people on your work team and very verbal/social people on your team. Though there is sometimes a bit of a "war" between geeks and marketeers, the world needs both of them. The technical can become more sociable and the verbal ones more technical. Check the new SIP SCHOOL course SIP Trunking Center for Sales and Marketing Professionals. Sign up for the course and the special forum.
If you are a member of the wholesale telephony service provider direct inward dialing marketplace DIDXchange, login to your portal and click the message of what The SIP School offers you especially!

Earth Hour 2010 Makes Me Want a Local Presence in the Most Beautiful Places in the World
Have you ever seen such beautiful sights and architecture? Moscow, Kuala Lumpur, Las Vegas, Singapore ... This was Earth Hour March 27, 2010. If you are a consumer of telecommunications services like I am, ask your telephony service provider (cellular, voip, regular old-fashioned type, cable digital voice, etc.), ask them if they are a member of http://www.didx.net. If they are and their account is active you can buy a phone number from most of the countries these pictures depict.
See http://www.didx.net/did for the list available. Please note that the prices are of the lowest available on DIDX.
Have your service provider check the choice in each country which will include, price of setup and MRC (monthly recurring charge), how many minutes are included, how many channels are included, and many more features. Keep mind, these are wholesale rates and unless you are able to keep a minimum of 50 purchased DIDs in your account pointed to a softswitch, in use and active, it would be better to pay your service a few extra dollars for retail.
Besides, $1 - $70 per month for a DID phone number (retail) for a phone number in a country you do not physically reside but you do have important people there who you want ... to call YOU, that's a DEAL. Build an office or home instead, and you will incur thousands if not millions of dollars in expenses for a local presence.

Service in Jurisdictions Likely to Be Provided in Next 12 Months
Please note that when USA-based telecommunications' companies complete their http://www.usac.org 499A annual tax form, it says on page three, "Indicate jurisdictions in which the filing entity provides service. Include jurisdictions in which service was provided in the past 15 months and jurisdictions in which service is likely to be provided in the next 12 months."
The last part appears to clearly mean that these "telecom companies" who file are checking areas not only that they HAVE served, but that they PREDICT they will serve. This does not mean that they HAVE or WILL provide service in each of the areas they have clicked. Just a message to tax collectors ...
Also this is a cool reminder to all DIDX members who use DIDX to buy DID phone numbers. If you are a USA-based service provider and have not already done so, please login to your DIDX account, click INBOX which is at the top of your portal and enter a ticket with your filer 499 ID and your 10 digit FCC registration number.
