MuslimsBIG 2010 – Business & Investment Gala is a joint collaboration between OIC International Business Centre Sdn Bhd and ECommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. It will be held from June 4-6 2010 at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

The objective of MuslimsBIG 2010 is to make Malaysia into a Global Islamic Business Hub. This event is the ideal platform for businessmen, entrepreneurs, international investors and buyers from all parts of the world to explore joint venture, investment & trade opportunities available in the Muslim World as well as in other participating countries. The event will comprise of a Conference and an Exhibition with an expected visitor turnout of 40,000 over the 3 days.

MuslimsBIG 2010 was launched in the month of October 2009 by YB Dato Mukhriz Mahathir, the Deputy Minister of International Trade & Industry who had specifically indicated that MuslimsBIG 2010 has to be “Big”. “Well today, I’m proud to say that with the support of our partners and the Government of Malaysia, we are indeed getting BIG, if not Bigger” said Dato Raja Mohamad, the Chairman of MuslimsBIG 2010.

To-date, more than 50% take–up rate has been achieved for the event with participation from a number of foreign countries including Canada, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, China, Brunei, Thailand, Singapore, United States of America, Bangladesh and of course Malaysia. The organizers are confident of achieving 100% sales by June 4th 2010.

These exhibitors and delegates consist of both local and international companies comprising airlines, banks & financial institutions, hotels & resorts, government bodies & country pavilions, national tourism associations, manufacturers, textile & garment, consumer goods, IT and electronics, telecommunication service providers, handicrafts & gifts, pharmaceuticals, and so on.

MuslimsBIG will be an annual event as OIC International Business Centre together with Ecommerce Gateway of Pakistan, are committed to organizing it yearly from 2010. “I can assure you that with the support of both the Malaysian Government and the Government of Pakistan, MuslimsBIG will become bigger over the years with more halls, more exhibitors and delegates, more joint ventures and business transactions, more visitors and eventually MuslimsBIG will be the Premier event for the Halal and Muslim industry to participate in Malaysia”, stated Dato Raja.

MuslimsBIG is envisioned to increase the inflow of trade and leisure travellers into Malaysia.





For the Conference, prominent speakers from Malaysia and internationally reknown ones have been invited, including the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak who will officiate and deliver the keynote address, while the counterpart partner in Pakistan, Ecommerce Gateway, is working on bringing the Prime Minister of Pakistan to MuslimsBIG 2010. They have already confirmed the attendance of the Minister of Commerce and a very large participation from the Government and private sectors of Pakistan.
