Salman Ansari on the State of DIDX: Video Interview

Salman Ansari has over 38 years of professional experience in telecommunications. He heads the policy formulation team for telecom deregulation and ICT development in Pakistan; advises Chinamobile, PTCL, PTA, Mobilink, Multinet, STM Wireles, and more on privatisation strategies, technology and regulation issues, convergence and new IP based services, and optical fibre projects. He also is a part of designing and implementing smart buildings such as the Grand Hyatt in Islamabad. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Hyatt_Islamabad

He worked in technology transformation of the education section such as HEC, PERN, and AIOU. I remember Salman's name many times on educational Internet mailing lists even in the late 90s when I was using my FIRN teacher's account for Internet. (CTRL J meant delete, and if you did do that, you'd have garble.)

Though Salman is a telecom and IT genius, a rebel of sorts... he is completely accessible, friendly, and willing to teach, share, and learn. It's our pleasure at Super Technologies, Inc. to count him as a friend, critic, and think tank session buddy.

On this video, he shares his thoughts about www.didx.net where 11,000 service providers from 170 nations, as of October 2008, collaborate in buy/sell DID direct inward dialing (local and international phone numbers to keep families, small and large businesses in touch with those important to them).

... compliments of the Super Technologies, Inc. team and Suzanne Bowen
